Body of Missing MQM Worker Irfan Basarat Found in Sanghar, Sindh, 2022
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Irfan Basarat's body was discovered along a road in Shahpur Chakar, an area of Sanghar district in Sindh, Pakistan. Basarat, a Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker, had disappeared several years earlier after being taken from his residence in PIB Colony, Karachi, about 250 km away. Salahuddin, his brother-in-law and an MQM-P member of the National Assembly, had raised the disappearance in parliament. His family and MQM accused Pakistani security agencies of subjecting Basarat to enforced disappearance and characterized his death as an extrajudicial killing. The allegation received no response from any agency, and nobody was charged. The federal interior minister informed MQM that the government, together with the Sindh government, would carry out an independent investigation into a group of bodies recovered that week.     |

the back of his neck looks a lot more purple in the first pics than it appears to be in the last one... & lacking facial hair.
