Body of Man Killed in Robbery Found After About 8 Months
After 11 days of investigations, the Civil Police of Canaã dos Carajás, southeast of the state, unveiled the disappearance of Marcelo Silva Damasceno, driver of the Forro Norte company, based in Marabá. The body was found today (21) buried in the winter garden of a house located in the neighborhood Flor de Liz I. In the course of the police work supported by investigators Walter Gomes, Diogo Pedroso and Roberto de Sousa, it was found that José Francisco Soeiro Melo, who is a fugitive after receiving his merchandise, decided to steal the rest of the cargo transported, kill Marcelo and hide the body. The stolen merchandise was found yesterday (20) in an uninhabited house owned by a client of the accused, according to the owner she lent the property for José Francisco to store materials. "During the survey made by the police team, besides the merchandise, a mattress with blood marks was found and in an unfinished winter garden there were elements not recognized by the person in charge of the work. Still according to the police the suspect's motorcycle was located at the bus station, indicating that he left the city.
