Re: Blunt- and Sharp-force Trauma in a Man Fatally Assaulted
~ Brutal!!! ~ Looks like the first blows were from a ball peen end of a heavy hammer, to the top of the head first when the guy was standing up, facing his assaulter, then the top left sides of the head as the guy tried to maintain his stance, probably trying to talk his assaulter out of additionally applied injury. ~ I would say more than one individual was involved, one with a heavy hammer with a ball peen end, & another with a large knife. ~ After the initial ball peen end strikes, the one with the knife was probably telling the victim to shut up while slashing him in the face, aiming at his throat, & then finally stab slashed him in the throat to finally shut him up. ~ Then the shattering of the left side of face, to add additional injury to insult, most probably happened when the guy was on the ground. ~ Both assaulters were right handed. |

Re: Blunt- and Sharp-force Trauma in a Man Fatally Assaulted
I also assumed a hammer was involved. Definitely a knife, but strangely no stab wounds, just slashes. I wonder if the knife-wielding individual was not looking to kill and was banking on the person with the hammer. |
