You are correct - those injuries look like the result of massive head trauma - however, it is documented in a text regarding childhood traumatic injuries and does credit a pit bull attack where she was dragged and shaken. So who knows - maybe someone shot her in the head, although I see no gunpowder res., but it may not have been a close shot - with arrival, police were convinced the pit bull had inflicted all that damage. Who knows.

To add to the injury possibilities - I was looking at pictures of plane crash victims - and I saw a picture with the pink top and massive head injuries after a plane crash - have to back and find it where ever I saw it.
