Blood on the Tracks...
Woman in her 20's decided to lie down across the railroad tracks just as a train was coming through. There were dozens of witnesses but none were willing to brave the oncoming train in order to allay her suicidal tendencies.

Needless to say, it didn't end well for her. Or it ended perfectly, depending on your views regarding suicide.
