Trust me, American girls urinate and defecate in their pants just as much as Asians when they hang themselves. We don't see the scene photography here because the photos are harder to get, but I have processed hundreds of autopsy reports and most post-mortems and scene investigation narratives make mention of bladder/bowel evacuation.

It happens frequently enough that I suspect it could be mentioned in ANY health class to good effect.

No doubt at all, and I didn't intend to imply otherwise. The noting of those particular places was due to the possibility that the matter might actually be mentioned in a class (strictly off the cuff - I know it wouldn't get into the curriculum!) Even an off the cuff mention would be verboten in the west.
