BLA Attacker Shot Dead at the Chinese Consulate, Karachi, November 2018
Three Baloch Liberation Army gunmen attacked the Chinese consulate in Karachi, Pakistan's Clifton area on the morning of November 23, 2018. After killing two policemen at the outer checkpoint, they threw grenades and used explosives unsuccessfully against the armoured main gate. Pakistani police and security forces killed all three following a battle of about an hour. Two civilians, a father and son from Quetta who were waiting for visas, were also killed, while no Chinese staff were injured. The BLA claimed responsibility, stating that it opposed Chinese projects in Balochistan.  · |
