I think that it would take some guts to actually pull the trigger, and even more guts to do it the second time.
When I was in grade 7, a boy from grade 8 did the same thing in his parents bedroom, survived the first shot, only to stick the gun in his mouth the second time. He was bullied for his weight, and suprisingly, his sister became a bully doing the same to others.
