Suicide is so tragic. I recommend reading Night Falls Fast if you're really into the history of suicide and just suicide in general. It's a beautiful and harrowing read. Thanks for sharing. |

I wouldn't say "the best place." My uncle Albert killed himself in his back yard, with a shotgun--minimal cleanup required. He did it when he knew his wife would be gone until late. He called and asked his son, a physician, to come by after work. My cousin didn't know, of course, that he was asked over so he would be the one to discover the body. All around pretty reasonable, I'd call it. If I ever do it, I'll have a 9mm in one ear and a .380 in the other ear, and see if I can pull both triggers at the same time. THAT will do the job. |

When I was in high school, there was a very very cute, super social little party girl classmate in 10th grade. Her older brother was strict ROTC, had a boomstick up his butt, and parents not much more liberal. She wrecked the family car a couple of times, and after the second, she was major grounded. Parents went out on Friday night, and came home to find her head splattered all over the house ceilings, and Dad's home security shotgun in her lap. I saw the brother years later in an ice cream store, and we caught up. His family never recovered from the suicide aftermath. Way to go, little peaches, for being unhappy with being grounded! You love your family so much!

Why not go outside to do that? No one want your bodily  fluids in their master bed room which would be a coat closet in the States. |

I'm not sure where people get the idea that just because it's outside, cleanup will be minimal or unnecessary.  We usually still come out and clean it up when someone has a bleed outdoors. In fact, it can actually make it an even bigger pain in the ass to get everything, because it's not contained and depending on the firearm used, it can spread out quite far. |
