Bengali Girl Hangs Facing the Wall
Bengali is a bitch to translate, so the actual reasons for this suicide are a bit obfuscated by my inability to form cohesive sentences out of such linguistic madness. She seemed to be sad about being in a poor family and thus being unable to get the man she wanted. There was no suicide note, but her cell phone was near her body and had recent messages on it that the police used to establish some sort of motive. The camera crew flipped her around for a front-facing image, but she actually hung herself facing the wall. Body seems to be in pretty good shape for this type of hanging. Most of the ones I see that abut the wall wind up with a lot of damage to the hands and/or feet slamming against it as the body thrashes and jerks in the noose. Another one that clearly should have used the toilet before stringing herself up, but why bother when you aren't the one doing the laundry anymore.   ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

Often you don't even see urine staining on the pants in India/Bengal because they are so loose and lightweight. Puddle underneath is more common. The pants are often very loose and light, so not common to collect urine and when they do, they dry quickly. This one is very obvious because she was found quickly and therefore still wet and also because she urinated a very large amount since it covers the fronts of both legs and the sides an back as well. The fabric bunched up a bit strangely, likely as she was kicking and jerking in the noose, so the pattern of staining is a bit sporadic in the back, as you pointed out.  |
