The Venezuelan woman who died in the horrific accident in Stewartville, West Coast Demerara has been identified as 20-year-old A. B.
He died after the vehicle he was traveling in at high speed crashed into a electricity pole on Stewartville Public Road, West Coast Demerara (WCD), Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara). The car broke in half upon impact.

According to police reports, A. R., 33, who lives in Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was driving the car with the registration number PRR 2014.

B., along with three other Venezuelan citizens: K. (only known name), A. (only known name) and U. G., 22 years old, were traveling in this vehicle.

According to reports received, the car was traveling rapidly east on the north side of the road when the Ralph overtook another car, PRR 7512, which was traveling in that direction on the north side.

It was noted that after passing that car, as he returned to the north carriageway, Ralph lost control and struck a utility pole on the north parapet. He subsequently ended up in a trench on the north side of the road.

As a result of the collision, the driver and occupants suffered various injuries. They were reportedly found unconscious and were subsequently taken to Leonora Cottage Hospital in WCD.

B. was declared dead upon arrival at the health center while the others were examined by a doctor on duty at the Leonora hospital. The injured persons were later referred to West Demerara Regional Hospital and admitted as patients in stable condition.

The body of the deceased was escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy. Police investigations are ongoing.
