Beaten to Death, Skull Caved in
Body of 75 year old merchant was found on Saturday (23/02/13). He had been reported as missing on Thursday after neighbours noticed they hadn't seen him for a few days.
He was a widower and lived alone. On investigation the door of his residence was found open and his home had been ransacked leading police to believe he was a victim of a robbery.
His body was found down a ravine a little way from his home. He had been severely beaten to death with a stone and stick, his face was disfigured and his skull caved in.
An alcoholic male was found in possession of the victims car and was interrogated. He admitting to robbing the man and killing him before dumping the body down the ravine.
