If alive, it would take on average about 3 minutes to either become unconscious or to succumb to injuries. In most structural fires people die of smoke inhalation before the fire reaches them.

Can't imagine the smell of charred human flesh...
Believe me when I say it isn't something you want to find out... We have surgical masks onboard the chopper we wear to cut down on the risk of infecting the patient as well as blocking some of the smell but it doesn't block nearly as much as I'd like...lol
