Bangladesh - Young Lady Dies After Being Set Alight After Being Molested
On 27th March 2019 at a school in Bangladesh, the headmaster, Siraj-ud-Daula had called 19 year old Nusrat Jahan Rafi to his room + molested her. When Nusrat told her family about the abuse, her mother went straight to the police. Siraj-ud-Daula was arrested. Nusrat was made to make her statement whilst being filmed by a police officer using his mobile phone. On 6th April, Nusrat went to sit her exams at the Madrasa. She was lured up onto the roof of the building + threatened by 4 other students to withdraw her statement against the headmaster. Nusrat refused + they poured kerosene over her + set her alight. She was heard screaming + others, including police, ran to her aid. On the way to the hospital, in an ambulance, fearing she might not survive, Nusrat recorded a statement on her brother's mobile phone. "The teacher touched me, I will fight this crime till my last breath." she said. Nusrat was first taken to Sonagazi Upazila Health Complex, then to the Feni General Hospital + finally to the National Institute of Burn + Plastic Surgery. At around 11.30am on 8th April, Nusrat was placed on life support. Doctors stated "Her condition is not good. As much as 80 percent of her body has been burnt." She died 2 days later on 10th April. Thousands of people attended her funeral. 15 more people were arrested + Moazzem Hossain, the police officer, who made Nusrat give her video statement via his mobile phone, was transferred to a different department. Many protests have been made in Nusrat's honour.                                   Moazzem Hossain  Siraj-ud-Daula  *I've kept the names in as this was reported everywhere. This was very thorough work on your part. There are no words to describe the scum that did this. I'm tempted to say that they should be put to death in the same manner, but don't want to lower myself to their level. Just execute them.

Thank you very much. There's so much more out there but if I spend any longer on this, I won't get any other threads done, haha! It's an absolutely horrific crime + yes, those involved should not be allowed to live. They made an innocent young lady suffer a terrible death so they should have the same fate.

Her family must be real angry can't blame them, it's a blood boiling case. The officer who distribute the video should be punished.

Fuck the headmaster, those 4 students who set the girl on fire, and whoever else was involved. I hope guilt consumes them for the rest of their lives. They will surely get what's coming to them. RIP beautiful girl..  |
