Ok I wouldn't do it this way. It would probably be faster to head butt the blade if you managed to secure it...which wasn't so hard for the table-saw (not a band-saw btw). A band-saw would have probably been the best bet since it's spinning so fast you could easily decapitate yourself compared to these, other, methods. Looks like they were into pain a bit as well, or had serious serious low self esteem and wanted to suffer.
