This 36 year old bean-vendor was brutally assassinated at the outdoor market where she regularly sold her wares. She had just arrived from her house, which was near to the market, and was starting to set up her bean stand when a man approached her and pulled a gun. According to witnesses he did not say a word, but shot her several times at point blank range and then fled.

The policia are uncertain whether this was a bean-related homicide or if there were ulterior motives at play. It seems an extreme length to go to on account of a bad batch of beans, but we have certainly seen Mexicans kill for less provocation, so who knows.

At least she kept her flip-flops on.
