Re: Automotive Catastrophe

I thought the steering wheel shot was also artsy. Does this one remind anyone else of one of those road side State Farm Insurance ads? You know, like a good neighbour state farm is there.

I feel like I can almost hear "six callers ahead of you Jimmy" in the background.

Re: Automotive Catastrophe

A friend of mine had an accident in Spain where they rolled their car about 8 times off the road. He was completely drunk. No injuries due to seat belts, and his "Da Nang" hat stayed on his head, even. That was the lucky part, because the officer that arrived on the scene was an ex German SS officer who had relocated to Spain, and had been in Dien Ben Phu (or however you spell it) when the war ended badly for the French. When he saw the hat, and the guy told him, yeah, he had been in Vietnam, the reports disappeared, the guy helped him pick up all his junk from up and down the road, and never even gave him a ticket. He Had pictures of everything. It looked like one of the accident pictures on here, but no one even got a bruise. But there was crap scattered for a half a mile down the side of the road. And of course, his car was totaled. He never drove drunk after that again. That was in the early 70's. I guess sometimes you survive your mistakes. Unless you are on here. Then you are screwed.

Re: Automotive Catastrophe

"Found your problem right there, sir, it seems that your steering wheel has detached itself whe the car was still in motion." it's accidents like these I became a mechanic.
