Asthmatic Suicide
Translating from the a series of Thai sources here, so information is fairly sparse. Tough language for the software I use to translate, largely due to the heavy use of idiom. Anyway, young teenager (high school) hung herself in her home last week. She waited til her parents went to work and then allegedly noosed herself from the rafter and was discovered when one of her parents came home for lunch. According to the reports, she was an asthmatic with a lot of allergies, as well, so she was constantly missing school. Her suicide note indicated that she was a burden to her parents and had no future because she was missing too much school to graduate and get ahead in life. She expressed love for both parents, but stated that they would do better without her. There was some incredulity and consternation among bloggers and commentors on the news sites, due to the girl's short stature and the height of the rafters. Several people speculated that she was murdered and then hung after the fact. There was no explicit mention of how she got the rope onto the rafter, though perhaps it isn't as high as the perspective of the photo makes it look. Regardless, her body exhibited several typical signs of hanging, including a rather extensive release of her bladder. Because this is likely to occur right before/during actual asphyxiation death, the fact that there was urine on the floor directly beneath the noose is strongly indicative that she died from the hanging and not before. Homicidal hanging is extremely rare in any culture and the police are currently treating the death as a suicide, though a full autopsy is pending. They will conclude the case when the postmortem is done, but most signs at the scene (including the note) and on the girl's body point towards suicidal hanging. |

Re: Asthmatic Suicide
Interesting orange, traffic-themed ensemble she chose to die in.

Re: Asthmatic Suicide
If you look at the structure of the walls around her, it'd be relatively easy for a kid to climb. That's what I see anyway, lots of jutting things and angles to hold on to. I mean hell, have you seen what rock climbers can do?
