It was a Lesbianca-style disagreement. If I read the story correctly, her lesbian lover murdered her and stuffed her in a mattress, which she was transporting in the back of a horse-drawn cart when the cart hit a bump in the road and threw her off.  She cracked her skull on the pavement, which alerted emergency personnel who, in turn, saw blood leaking out from the mattress. When they investigated, well... STAY CLASSY, BRASIL! |
