What? Lol, Argentinians are mostly European, specifically of Italian and Spaniard ancestry, although in urban areas you can find many descendants of Germans, Poles, etc. Same for Southern Brazil (there you can find even a huge community of japanese-brazilians in São Paulo).
Latin America is one of the most diverse regions in the planet, it has received tons of migrants since the XIXth century.

I must add, that there are also millions of Argentinians of Native American ancestry (you can see it in their facial features). It's obvious the old man had more Euro ancestry, his wife had more American ancestry, and their son was mixed-race.
Actually all of Latin America is a place where the races started to mix since the 'conquest', just the opposite that happened in places like North America or Australia. That's why you'll find LatAms with a huge variety of racial features, from more American to more European.
