Another Indonesian Hanger
24 year old domestic servant was found hanging in the home of her employer. The employers recorded a video when they found her body. Her family had not spoken to her for 4 days, but her employers had seen her earlier in the evening. This case hasn't made much overall news on my feeds, but I managed to catch it quickly enough to follow its progress on one of the rescue workers' pages as well as a member of her family's. Local social media circles have caused a stir because many people believe she was abused and killed by her employers, who covered it up as a suicide. Most of the basis for this theory was from the primary photo rather than the video, which was not as widely distributed. People felt that because her tongue was not protruding and there was no chair or stool beside her, it must have been murder. One of the rescue workers posted the video and attested that her tongue was bitten and protruding somewhat, but that it was not visible in the photos. It was, however, fairly easy to see in the video. He also said that she had pissed her shorts (also easily visible in the video) and urinated on the floor beneath her feet (which I cannot discern from the video, but likely due to lighting). He further said her only injuries were the ligature mark. Regardless of most signs pointing to suicide, the family has authorized an autopsy and police are investigating further. I have a few photos and the video of the employers finding her. I also got some shorter vids from the rescue worker, showing them washing the dead girl's body prior to transporting it to the hospital in Kupang for the autopsy. |

A few adds, including some antemortems from her FB page. They're several years old, but she doesn't seem to have a more recent page.

So very, very sad when a person decides to take their life. Mental illness or an unhappy life. RIP.

Re: Another Indonesian Hanger
Some individuals are basically “trapped” in their situation and think it’s hopeless and futile. Really that’s never the truth and the path they take leaves a lifetime of devastation for the families. |
