This morning (5th July 2018) in Sihanoukville, 45 year old Travis died.

An article states "the cause of death from bleeding through the esophagus (possibly due to cirrhosis or gastric leakage)".

Re: American Man Died in Cambodia This Morning

Why do I immediately think murdered when westeners wind up dead in these places? So many deceased by misterious circumstances yet their officials give complete bullshit reasons within seconds of death and stick to it without question. The jumpers and the hangers are all questionable and this leakage case is no different

Ah, Vermont. Not California or Colorado or New York this time.

TBH, at this point though, I'd rather perish in Vermont than Cambodia.

Re: American Man Died in Cambodia This Morning

I haven't been to Vermont yet, but I've been to Maine.

From what little I've seen, that area (Northern New England) serves as a gateway to paradise. But it's also rather hellish, because it's cold and snowy and remote and poor AF in some pockets. I mean, I'm a lifelong Southerner who was born and raised in a dirt-poor hick town so I know poverty when I see it.

But I'd much rather live (and die) in Vermont or Maine than Cambodia. There's more to offer for me up there.

Oh, lucky you. Vermont is on my bucket list.

Well, I’m not trying to imply that sudden death is a likelihood for any American citizen who ventures into Cambodia. I don’t believe that the locales there have any interest in perpetrating violence against western tourists. That’s just paranoid tin-foil tier horseshit. BUT, I unwillingly tend to associate Cambodia with death and sadness in general.

Maybe that’s just my “Murican” ignorance speaking, or maybe I spend too much damn time on DR. I don’t know.
