That is surprising. The vultures are on a fresh kill much faster in my parts. One cool factoid is that different vulture species will hang back or dominate the pickings depending on the stage of rot. That's what the biologists say anyway.

That is a beautiful thought. I've been in your shoes. Family can be really strange after death. It sucks when you were closest to a person but have no legal right to make decisions for them. My bfs family loved him very much and only wanted to ignore all the hard stuff.

My bro didn't pick up my Dad's ashes for quite some time. When he finally did, he rode around with him in his truck for a year. My shitstain uncle still hasn't picked up my Grams ashes after 7 years AND he stole all the money she saved for her burial. She was a sweet Christian lady with lots of little old lady friends. My uncle didn't even give her a funeral. She believed in the Resurrection and he CREMATED her. People suck.
