Alcoholic Found Dead With Suspected Heart Attack
A 41yo man who was an alcoholic and lived with his mother in Santa Rosa, Brazil, was found dead inside his girlfriend's house on Monday October 6th. According to the victim's girlfriend they drank three litres of spirits in the morning together. His girlfriend called him to try to wake him up but upon finding he was dead, she called the police. A funeral home employee was at the site examining the body. The family said the victim had constantly complained of chest pains, but never saw a doctor and they believe he died of a heart attack.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

Died of a heart attack.....they don't think the three liters of spirits played a role...heart attack from the spirits maybe.

It's kinda weird that folks (even third world folks) still die from alcoholism or the effects of alcoholism. We've all forgotten about how really deadly alcohol is and how many people are killed by alcohol either by direct ingestion or by someone under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol and the effects of alcohol kills and injures more people every year world-wide than all the drug deaths and related drug injuries world-wide. We just kinda forget, because alcohol is legal. When I first started as a copper, I was so focused on drugs that I totally ignored the effects of alcohol. It just isn't popular to focus on anything other than the drug problem. Alcohol is looked on a quaint now...we've forgotten what a huge deal alcohol is.
