Agent orange is a herbicide widely used by the US back in 'Nam. It was used to kill the thick foilage of the jungles in Vietnam, both to destroy cover that could be used by the VC and to make it easier for our boys to get around. Agent Orange was also used to kill the crops that fed the VC and North Vietnamese forces. It was later found to cause debilitating deformities, skin diseases, and cancer to those exposed to it. here are some examples:

There were a lot of defoliants used in Vietnam, this one was the worst. Interestingly (to me, anyway) Dow Chemicals manufactured both Agent Orange and Napalm.

The shit had been banned in the U.S. I believe, since 1954- Yet it was still employed in the Vietnam war. I tattooed a police officer a couple years back, and he had a small, round, indented scar on his back shoulder. I asked him what he was shot with?....He said he wasn't shot, but that his father served in Vietnam and got sick from exposure to Agent Orange and had passed it on to him!
