I would also agree that it's real. I can see that with a 35 foot fall, he could be falling any number of ways. He could easily have caught the top of the fence with the back of his neck, it speared him up into his skull, and the inertia of the fall ripped the body away from the head. There have been many reports of hangings where the fall was too great, and the head popped right off, so yes, this is completely possible. Take a look at the horizontal bar right below the head. It's obvious that it is bent, and would fit with the description of how the head got there.

Oh yeah it happened right on the downtown connector guy jumped off the overpass into a parking lot off auburn ave,i was in the traffic waiting for the cops to get the hell out of the way !
