They were in his pocket, and when he was dragged, the holes were made. The money was not in a wallet, and it was folded, so that is why the holes are where they are. |

In Thailand, destroying anything with the King's image is a serious offense. Damaging or disrespecting bills with his face on them is jail-able crime. Maybe the guy was making a statement..?
