Abu Ghraib Torture
The bloody wounds are dog bites. Way to go. Beginning in 2004, accounts of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, including torture[1][2], rape[1], sodomy[2], and homicide[3] of prisoners held in the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq (also known as Baghdad Correctional Facility) came to public attention. These acts were committed by personnel of the 372nd Military Police Company of the United States Army together with additional US governmental agencies.[4] |

Re: Abu Ghraib Torture
yes, it's war, yes it's awful and this stuff happens...but this...this, is disgusting. we didn't have media to show us as much in previous wars other than the footage of babies scewered on bayonettes in japan in propoganda films in WW2 and from movies made of other wars and the odd interview or story. this is very different to me. some of these men were innocent, no? people think the man who divulged these photos is a traitor, some think he is a hero. i remember watching a 60 minutes show on him and how he and his family had to go into hiding. maybe if Bush didn't go on national tv and state "the US does not torture" (which was a stupid statment in itself) there wouldn't have been such a backlash. i doubt it. I am sure Hussein and co. did worse in that prison and have read accounts from a dossier put out, but this is pretty disgusting. the dogs..Sadaam used to starve dogs and let them go on kids. I don't see these people as any better. they weren't there to torture. i am glad they are serving big time. and the ones who gave the go ahead like Rumsfeld should be too. |
