If you watch the documentary when the news was there, you can hear the bodies hitting the ground, and they sound like a brick hitting a tin roof - and at one point someone says "what is that?" and you realize that it's people from the towers hitting the ground.

By far the best 9/11 documentary of them all imo.

For those who haven't seen it - on September 11, 2001, 2 French journalists were filming a documentary about the FDNY (I forget which Ladder) and what it takes to be a firefighter. While they were filming them that morning, they saw/recorded the first plane crashing into Tower 1. The journalists were then allowed to continue filming and also accompany the FDNY inside Tower 1. As they get there, you can hear a very loud thud... then another... and another. What sound like sacks of cement hitting the ground are actually jumpers.
