72 Year Old Man Killed by Stepson
Amazonas - It happened on the afternoon of Sunday, 18, where a 72-year-old lookout was brutally stabbed to death in the Santa Terezinha do Aninga community in the Parintins Rural Area. The suspect of killing the elderly is his stepchild, identified as J, who is 25 years old. According to information from the Military Police, a fight between the stepfather and stepson finished with the old man dead. The fight broke out at the home where the elderly live in the rural community during a stepchild's visit. Witnesses at the scene told police that the two exchanged assaults. The stepfather was stabbed and, before dying, he struck a machete blow on the left side of the stepson's face. According to the PM, the stepson and stepfather had a row for 16 years, motivated by an alleged attempt of sexual abuse of the lookout against the youngster's sister. The injured suspect was referred to Jofre Cohen Regional Hospital at Parintins headquarters. The Civil Police investigates the case that was registered as homicide. The stepson alleges self-defense. There he is under police escort until he is discharged   . |
