There is no cure for cancer the treatment just buys you time and is in itself an awful thing to go through. He just saved himself going through all the false hope and sickness.

My stepdad committed suicide 6 months ago the same day he found out he had cancer. Took a handful of morphine and never woke up.

so true but I would rather take all the pain pills at once rather than blow my head off with a gun. I just seems like so cruel to do to yourself, effective as it may be. but then death is ugly and cruel anyway.
