This 66-year-old Man Committed Suicide After Being Told He Had Cancer
Billings, Montana - This 66-year-old man committed suicide after being told he had cancer. Fig.1 Gunshot entrance in center of upper eyelid, contact range. Fig.2 Blowout wound on left temple from the gases blown into eye socket from the gun. The entrance of the gunshot wound was in the center of the left upper eyelid and was a contact gunshot wound. On the left temple was a blowout from the hot gases coming out of the muzzle, the blowout entered the left eye socket. A 2 x 3" gaping exit hole was found on the left temple. X-rays found the bullet at the back of the head. The direction of the bullet path was different than originally thought, and penetrated, not perforated. Fig.3 X-rays found the bullet at the back of the head. Fig.4 X-rays found the bullet at the back of the head. When a gun is fired, a cloud of hot gas is expressed from the end of the muzzle along with the projectile. In a contact gunshot wound of the head, these gases are forced between the scalp and the cranial bones and build up pressure along its path. The pressure is eventually released as the scalp tears. - This post is for educational purposes only and is nonprofit. As I once had a co-worker say, "If the cancer don't kill you, the treatment will." Dead two weeks later. Pancreatic cancer. The subject of this post didn't want to draw out the inevitable. Again, great job Herman! |

Re: This 66-year-old Man Committed Suicide After Being Told He Had Cancer
I would do the same. I've watched a close family member go through the final months of Cancer and it really is pointless. You're on so much pain medication you can barely think and still in pain. You're on anti-anxiety medication but still have moments of clarity where you understand you're about to die. Your mind is slipping to where you struggle to complete basic tasks and aren't even completely sure what's real and not. You gradually lose your ability to move around, everything becomes more and more difficult, and eventually you cannot eat or drink and lie there for days until the death rattle. If anyone has cancer and they've been given 'weeks to live', where there is no further attempts at treatment offered and medical staff are only talking about 'enjoying what time you have', there is nothing enjoyable coming so that's the time to end it. |

Pancreatic cancer's one of the hardest to fight. It's hard to detect, so by the time you've been diagnosed it's usually past the point where surviving very long is possible.

With all the quacks running around in the medical field, I would have gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions before making such a commitment.

If I was terminal but could still get around ok, I'd go to a tittie bar, get drunk, drive west toward Idaho and start a fight with a wolf or bear.

This is why assisted suicide should be legal. That way there would be no mess. Just drift off to sleep.

Sure! I mean, the only thing worse than dying of cancer is dying of cancer whilst simultaneously being eaten alive by a wolf, bear, or wolfbearvarine... |
