Maybe a smoke detector would have helped

Amazes me how many reports state how people die in their sleep from traumatic incidents like this, you'd think the whiff of smoke or burning heat would wake them

I have disassembled all but two of mine. Not the smartest thing to do but they're annoying af, beeping like they do when the battery's low! I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who does this...

It’s the smoke that kills you.

Re: 58 Year Old Man Died in House Fire

11.30 am on 27th August 2015 in Thailand.

I've read that he was 58 years old as well as 61 years old.

Translations have given me 3 names for him:
Jamrong Phraya Wang
Prasit Phraya Wang
Nam Chaam Phaya Wang

It appears that although the cause of fire could have been an electrical fault, it's thought that the man committed suicide. Apparently (from what I can get from the translation), the man had complained to neighbours + relatives of his stress about not having enough money as he can't make a living, losing his car + (possibly) separating from his wife.

Re: 58 Year Old Man Died in House Fire

Smoke is a silent killer.
Absolutely factual.
