PHILIPPINES - On August 23, 2019, 50-year-old call center agent E.B.C. was shot to death at Purok Gemilina, Barangay San Miguel (Odaca), Digos City, Davao del Sur.

She was walking alone from her residence to catch a ride for a scheduled land dispute hearing before the Regional Trial Court did not make it after she was fatally shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen.

Police Senior Master Sergeant Reagan Patricio and Police Staff Sergeant Joel Ong together with intelligence operatives immediately went to the place of incident minutes after receiving a cellular phone call from a village official of San Miguel reporting the incident.

She sustained gunshot wounds to the head and back of the body killing her on the spot, the police report said.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered two spent casing of .45 caliber ammunition, one deformed slug at the perimeter of the crime scene.

The shoulder bag of the victim containing personal items; two wrist watches, IBEX call center ID, P3-thousand cash money, and coins were also recovered by the police.

PSMS Patricio said they are still conducting further investigation in relation to the shooting incident to come up with the motive and identities of the shooters.
