The human body just isn't engineered to interact with forces like those involved with a .50 cal round. About the 'best' you can hope for after being hit with a .50 is a blown off limp or having the shredded remains amputated soon after. It's a definitional 'No Win' type of situation.  |

i wonder where that checkpoint is. i dont think that would be located somewhere urban. running from a checkpoint deserved snipe in the head?

Yes. This is from a War Zone where the soldiers were surrounded by murderous hostiles. BTW, everybody knew the rules and how to behave. |

Just as long as they dont do that in our checkpoint here where many teens and adults fails to stop at routine checkpoints because many of them have no driver's licenses or updated registration papers for their vehicles.
