5 Little Boys Stabbed to Death by Mentally Ill Man
This happened today (Sept 27) In Chiang Mai, Thailand. A 24 years old man was recently released from a mental hospital and was living with his parents. He became agitated by the sound of his neighbor's kids playing. He grabbed a knife, went next door to where the children were playing and beginning stabbing them. 5 children (all brothers, all less than 12 years old) were killed. 4 died at the scene and 1 died at the hospital. The mother walked into the boys being stabbed but it was too late. The news did not specify what type of mental illness he suffered from but if I were to I guess I'd say Schizophrenia. They also did not mention this but it looked to me like he was lynched prior to the arrest. That's horrible  Potentially dangerous patients suffering from severe mental illnesses should not be released from the hospital, but perhaps the staff thought his parents would supervise him well enough.  At least now he'll end up in an institution, or a prison.

I doubt it. If they thought he was safe to be released they are as deluded as he is. Just another bunch of do gooders. Doesn't affect THEIR lives.  |

I feel bad for the killer in a way. What he did was wrong, but so was releasing him to begin with, at least into that environment. Wonder if he was even on any medication or if they just said, "Alright, go live with your parents now. You'll do just fine."

I've always known "Lynched" to mean "killed by multiple people". Does it also just mean "Beaten"? |
