Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil


At about 430am this morning, residents of the Paraíso do Atlântico condominium, located at Km-15 of highway BA-001, heard over 20 gunshots.

Authorities investigated a door with a broken lock to find four victims shot to death, possibly with 12 gauge and .38. Shell casings were also found.

3 of the four victims have been identified as Fábio Ribeiro Santos, 27; Renan Raeber Nunes, 23; and Brunno de Jesus Santos, 20. The fourth victim may go by the name of Junior or aka "Woodpecker".

The victims are from the Sarinha neighborhood, Itabuna and the crime is likely between rival factions.

2nd up from the bottom, if you look closely, he seems to have a skin condition.
Lead exposure. Hit where he lay with several loads of fine shot, possibly from a shortened barrel. You can see how his shoulder shielded his face.

That’s stippling from the shot gun from either being close range or a sawed offed shotgun. Looks to be consistent with birdshot, but yeah a skin problem no doubt!

Agreed! I thought he had had a major blackhead break out at first glance, and then realized it was just a symptom of lead poisoning.
