33 Killed in Bus Accident [Brazil]
- At least 33 people died and 21 were injured when two buses collided, state of São Paulo, police and officials of the bus company said. "There was a collision between two buses in the city of Regente Feijo. We still do not know what caused the accident," said Jose Eduardo Chaves, CEO of the company Andorinha, who had both bus. Both bus drivers died in the accident, which occurred on the Raposo Tavares highway in the interior of the State of Sao Paulo. A bus carrying passengers from the city of Bauru in the State of Sao Paulo to Presidente Prudente in the same state, while the other was en route from the state of Parana in southern city of Sao Paulo, Brazil , taller. Time for a little physics, students!!! Vehicle one moves at 50 mph toward vehicle two, which is moving toward vehicle one at 50 mph, what is the relative velocity of each vehicle with the other: 100 mph!!! Point being: neither bus had to breaking the sound barrier to cause that much carnage. |
