(I am not sure that "chisel" is the right word - he worked with woodcarving, and for me a chisel is for working in stone. The spanish word used is "formón". But google gives no alternative translation, so I'll use it anyway)

But there was more in it than a TV-set. He had prepared himself well, because not only did he bring the chisel - he had stolen it on his work to use it on her. And he admitted to the police that she had cheated on him, which was the reason he left him.

Thank you very much. Google translates the spanish word to english "chisel" and danish "mejsel", and I am used to that translation between english and danish too. But "mejsel" is used for stone and concrete - never wood. So I came in serious doubt about the english word.
