In Santo Domingo on the afternoon of 23rd May 2018, 3 people died + 1 was seriously injured.

An argument broke out in a mechanics workshop between the employees + Juan David Cuevas Acosta + his father, Simón Cuevas Peña. Juan, who lived next to the workshop, started the argument as he was angry that a car had been parked in front of his house.

Juan was the gunman + Simón was weilding a machete. They murdered 3 of the employees.

The bodies of 2 employees, Miguel Ángel Montero De Oleo + Miguel Luis Sosa Santana lay in at the front of the workshop. The body of the workshop owner, Erickson Fernando Ramírez Díaz, lay inside the building.

Erickson had saved the life of a little boy, as he grabbed him + ran into the workshop to get him away from the murderous father + son. The little boy was shot in the thigh, he was taken to the hospital + was in a stable condition.

Simón turned himself in to the police.

Apparently the feud between the murderers + the workshop employees had been going on for 20 years. It seems that the car being parked outside Juan's home was the tipping point for him + he flipped. Neighbours stated that the police were called many times over the years but nothing ever changed. They think that this is because Juan was in the police force. Juan has been described as a violent person + they all knew that sooner or later he was going to flip.
