29-Year-Old Woman Shot to Death in Tagum City

PHILIPPINES - At 5:55 PM on August 9, 2019, 29-year-old V.B.P., who worked at Moto-R Republic, was shot in the head in front of Tagum Longford College, Dalisay Gante Road, Barangay Magugpo West, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. She was rushed to the nearest hospital, where she was declared dead. She is survived by her two children. Google-translated news report:

A woman died upon arrival at the hospital after she was shot by an unknown suspect yesterday afternoon [August 9, 2019] at Longford College, Dalisay Gante Road, Barangay Magugpo West, Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

Tagum Police Station identified the victim as V.B.P., 29 years old, married, Moto R worker, resident of Purok 7, Barangay Bangkerohan, Catarman, Northern Samar.

In the investigation by the police, the victim was shot in the head where a .45 caliber pistol was found at the crime scene.

They tried to take him to the nearest hospital but he was declared dead by the attending physician, Dr. Fajjar A. Kashim.

According to Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office Police Colonel Ferlu Silvio, the alleged motive for the crime may be personal grudge.
