29-year-old Male Whose Face Was Eaten After Death by His Pet Dog
In March 2020, the younger sister of the deceased visited the deceased's residence. However, there was no response when she rang the bell. She called a locksmith and opened the door, and found the deceased severely decomposed. The scene was a one-room apartment, and the interior was very dirty with dog feces and hair. A pet dog (Shetland Sheepdog) was found dead under the right side of the bed in the bedroom, and the dog's body was in the beginning stage of decomposition. The deceased was lying on the floor of the bedroom. The deceased's entire body was decomposed, and his eyeballs, nose, and lips were missing. The autopsy results showed that the skin on his face had been damaged by the dog. Medications related to high blood pressure and angina were found in the residence, and the deceased's family stated that he had headaches and atopic dermatitis to water.  ·  · |

This is a sad scene for sure. Poor dog probably died of dehydration. I can’t honestly think of a worse situation for an animal to have to turn and start eating its best friend. That’s gotta have a serious impact on the animal be it a dog or a cat. I think it’s probably better it died than survived.

poor pupper. i can watch people die all day, but for some reason i cannot watch animals being harmed. i really just cant even see it, i dont like it at all. |

And this type of tragedy is only increasing as more people (in western countries at least) live isolated lives by themselves. People die by themselves and people who might have been saved via intervention die, by themselves.
