The 27 years old MDBdS was found dead in her mothers house in Caruaru in Pernambuco Monday morning.

She had been arrested the evening before for trafficking, and a small amount of drugs was found in her home - maybe this was the reason that she was in her mothers house.

The scene looked somewhat suspicious, so the police closed the house off as a crime scene. Later the same day, the corpse was released from the IML (morgue) after autopsy, and the case was closed: She had died from a heart infarct.

It would be an understatement to say that this conclusion found public support. A lot of comments on FB says that she died because she was heavily beaten by the police.

Maybe this would not be unlikely, but to be honest I cannot see much of the bruises and black eyes and whatever. There is blood on the floor, yes, but she hit the tiled floor when she fell. She has some scratch on her belly, but that doesn't look fresh. The eyes are just usual post mortem changes (she has also developed livor mortis, so she wasn't found immediately).

So the wounds (or what it is) on her cheek is the only thing looking a bit suspicious to me.

PS There are lot of images and also a video showing her being carried out of the house. As she is fully covered with a blanket, I don't see any idea in posting more than a single one.

Her right eye looks pretty swollen. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be any injuries associated with being beaten.

I agree. The obvious ID image is her - no doubt, it is everywhere and it look as "alike her" as any ID usually does.

But I am a bit in doubt about the other one. I like to have images - dead or alive - confirmed by two or three mutually independent sources, and that is not the case here. I haven't been able to find a FB account, and neither seems anybody else as there are simply no ante mortem images of the cutie anywhere, except for the ID and this one in a single FB post.

This is highly unusual, but I felt that it looked enough like her to post it. But take it with a grain of salt.

Hard to say just due to the swelling alone. When my grandpa had a heart attack he smacked his face on the kitchen counter. Thankfully he survived and is still with us but he looked like he got busted in the face by a baseball bat. Though it doesn't look like she was in close enough proximity to anything for that to have been the case.

It is of course hard to say about the eyes - to me both look the same - but is is absolutely possible that it is ordinary pm changes. I have seen worse, where I positively know that the person died peacefully in his bed. But it could of course be ante mortem police violence.

When my dad died of a heart attack he landed over the back of the telly, where we found him a few hours later (he was up in the night), in rigor mortis, with the bottom of his face smashed in.

It was still like that at the Chapel of Rest. I hated them not sorting that out.
