PHILIPPINES - On March 12, 2020, 24-year-old M.S.I. was shot to death just outside Madrid District Hospital in Madrid, Surigao del Sur. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

MADRID, SURIGAO DEL SUR - A shooting incident happened yesterday March 12 [2020], at 6:30 in the evening, at Prk 3, National Highway, Brgy. Quirino, Madrid, Surigao del Sur, where the victim was identified as M.S.I., 24 years old, single, unemployed and a resident of Prk 7, Brgy. Panikain, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

The initial investigation revealed that the victim was sitting on her parked MIO motorcycle near the waiting shed of the Madrid District Hospital, suddenly an unknown man wearing a bonnet and bull cap approached and suddenly shot her twice in his left face which resulted in her sudden death.

After committing the crime, the suspect then boarded a motorcycle and fled to Carmen, Surigao del Sur.

The police of the Madrid Municipal Police Station immediately conducted a hot pursuit operation and coordinated with the neighboring stations for the possible arrest of the suspect.

The motive of the incident is still being determined. Two (2) caliber 45 pistol cartridges were found at the scene of the crime.
