In some parts of Japan it's like this too... It's an Asian thing. The daughters go off and live with her husbands family, and the son stays with the family and cares for them when they become infirm. Therefore they feel the son is more valuable, what they haven't yet realized in some 10,000 years of established culture is just what you stated, you need daughters to have your valuable sons. But they will learn soon enough I guess when the ratio is 20 to 1 and social rioting breaks out. Hell they would realize this in Japan too, but people have stopped having kids, the Japanese are an "endangered species", so much so that the Government is thinking about instituting monetary compensation in order to get Japanese people to reproduce. |

This is why I hate chinese people. Not only is that a problem they're facing but now chinese men are having hard times finding wife's due to this. |
