2017: Teen's Body Exhumed in Mexico, Pampanga, Philippines; Police Suspect Rape
A 17-year-old girl's body was removed from her tomb in Mexico, Pampanga, Philippines, in early September 2017, shortly after she had been buried. The body was found about 20 meters from the grave with its clothing torn, and the municipal police chief said investigators suspected the girl had been raped. The girl had died from accidental head trauma before her burial. The person who removed her body was not responsible for her death. Police treated a man who had attended the burial and had been seen looking at the body as a person of interest. He was not publicly named.  ·  · |
