Re: 2 Young Ladies Shot Dead Yesterday Morning
Once again, I'm compelled to ask this question: Does ANY girl in Brazil live to see her 21st birthday?

Re: 2 Young Ladies Shot Dead Yesterday Morning
Most do, and don’t end up visible to you since that is normal and nobody wants normal in their feed. Kind of like how most Palestinian girls don’t reach 21 (that’s 50% past the median age), but don’t end up visible to you since that’s normal for them and nobody wants normal in their feed. Also, fewer smartphones. Might be a treasure trove of gore when they catch up. Dunno. Never let this site be part of your perception of normalcy. This is about the parts of life we should know exist even if we often forget. There is no attempt at balance here. Violence is very low globally and continues to decline, in particular the spectacular violence we see on here. That improvement follows directly from an increase in science, tech, engineering and mathematics giving an increase in production and standard of living, and a steep decline in birth rates (contraception and abortion and education). It appears no other factors have any appreciable effect based on a couple millennia of statistics on the matter. Even religion can only slow progress a tiny bit. In fact, only Islam and Post-Modernism have proven any credible threat to the overall progress of humanity, apart from slowing it down like the other religions. So don’t infer anything from here. |
