The police persecution mobilized almost all the vehicles of the Military Police, and the vehicle in flight was almost always in the back of the road, and at one point, on Edmundo de Barros Street, crossing the Marechal Deodoro da Fonseca Street, when the fleeing vehicle was on the other hand and crashed into the ROCAM (Oversized Motorcycle Riding) vehicle where one of the occupants of the vehicle ended up firing several shots at the ROCAM vehicle, including the windshield of the police car.

The suspects continued their escape, where on the slope of Rua Edmundo de Barros they ran down a pedestrian.

A revolver and a pistol used by suspects who were killed were seized. One of those involved was identified as Welington Israel Farias, 22,known by the nickname "Nene" who even had in his favor a warrant issued by the judiciary.
