I went through a pretty rough patch about that age. I was thousands of miles away from family and surrounded by strangers. Lucky for me, tight family relationships and some newfound friends helped me get past it.

Looking at this young ladies choice in the opposite direction from mine reminds me of how close I was to making the wrong decision way back then.
