I did a Google search and didn't come up with anything about Janis Joplin having syphilis. She did hook for a while and was a really wild girl, though. |

Hmmm, yeah- I did my own search and came up with nothing, yet I distinctly remember reading a book about rock star o.d.'s, and read that Janis Joplin died, her body "riddled with syphilis"... I will try to find that source and post it.  |

She had fresh track marks and sadly, died alone, but, I really don't remember syphilis. I would think it would have been in the autopsy. If you do find it, please post it. It sounds like someone bashing her. She was a great talent with a powerful voice!
